All 12 step programs are designed to help with any addiction; therefore, if you have a problem with an addiction to a substance other than alcohol, you will still feel at home using the 12 steps. They apply to all addictions. There are many more 12-step program with special focus, such as Narcotics Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous, to name just a few.
